Your analysts can build AI agents now. They do not need IT to do it.
Alteryx's new Agent Studio lets an analyst turn their own workflow into an AI agent without IT, and it backs up exactly what I have been saying: we sell chemicals, but we manage data.
Your analysts can build AI agents now. They do not need IT to do it.
Alteryx showed something at their Inspire conference that I think a lot of distributors are going to want to understand.
It is called Agent Studio. It lets a business analyst take a data workflow they already built, the pricing logic, the inventory rules, the report they rebuild every week, and turn it into an AI agent that runs on its own. No handoff to IT. The person who knows the business builds the thing.
Here is how I would use it if I ran your operation.
Start with one workflow that eats time every week. The margin report your team rebuilds by hand every Monday is a good candidate.
Then get the person who actually owns that report in a room. Not IT. The analyst who knows why the numbers move, because that business logic living in their head is where the value is.
Wire it up to connect where your team already works, Slack or Teams, and let it run the boring version of the job while your people handle the exceptions.
I’ve been saying it for years. We sell chemical and we manage data. The companies that win are the ones who get their data people building instead of just reporting.
